Wildlife observation is one of the fastest growing past times in Maine. Everywhere you turn there is a new landscape that can be framed by even the most amateur photographers. MWA appreciates the beauty that this land has to offer. Knowing the habitats of the animals, we can position you for the best opportunities to observe and admire these wild animals. When stalking game for a photo, we use the same techniques as we do while hunting, taking in consideration wind direction, sun light and natural barriers. With our help, you are sure to get a great photo along with a great story of how you went about getting it! It is not uncommon for us to be driving down a dirt road looking for wildlife and see a moose in a distant clear cut. We would pull over, take a compass reading, note wind direction and then start the adventure of stalking this magnificent creature to a point where you may get a picture of a lifetime! If going off trail is not your cup of tea, we will stay on the dirt roads and trails where there are ample opportunities to observe deer, moose, bear, grouse, beavers, foxes, coyotes and all the raptors including owls and eagles. The landscape in these mountains are second to none, where small brooks run into beaver flows and rolling hardwood ridges meet the wall of old growth pines that may have trunk diameters of 5-6 feet! We are not required to stay in the vehicle and encourage you to get out and enjoy the Maine wild lands! If you find yourself looking for something for the family to do at night.......give us a call! We will pick you up at your campsite or cabin and take you on a night time wildlife spotting tour! That's right.....NIGHT TIME....Most animals are nocturnal (more active at night) thus the chances of seeing them are better. With our 20 million candle power spot lights, we can easily turn night into day!!
