Snow shoeing is becoming more and more popular every year. It is a great way to get out of the cabin and enjoy nature at your own pace. Weather you cover 1/4 mile in 15 minutes or in an hour, you set the pace for an enjoyable time. We feel it is important to show people the the land in it's raw form so most of the time we follow no trail nor do we use the same path twice. No matter what age or shape your in, we can customize a 1 hr hike or a weekend adventure with overnight camping in the woods.

It is a lot of fun roaming around following tracks of animals and seeing where they take you. It is amazing how much you learn about that animal when you follow it long enough, for instance, following some deer tracks, we saw that it was browsing on the beech twigs as it was walking. Then it came across a fallen tree where it fed on the "Old mans beard" that had grown on it. After circling around the ridge we followed the tracks up the small hill where it bedded on the south side. I could see from the size of the bed that it was a pretty good deer and would assume that it set up there just before sunrise in order to gain the first warming rays the sun would offer. It's putting together the puzzle that's a thrill for me, and snow shoeing allows us to play this game of hide and seek all winter long.
